Historic Preservation Program Study Abroad and Field Schools

Each year the Pacific Northwest Preservation Field School attracts a range of participants, from practicing cultural resource professionals to undergraduate and graduate students, to novices with little background in the field. Graduate students in the Historical Preservation MS Program are required to enroll in at least one session as part of their graduation requirements.

The Croatia Field School specializes in the conservation of vernacular settings and cultural landscapes, and sustainable design. This opportunity offers a unique look at the vernacular building culture of Croatia's central Dalmatian Coast, where students explore the villages, while learning the history of the area arround the city of Trogir and on the island of Brač.
