Lawrence Medal winner devoted to preservation of historic built environment

This year’s honoree and commencement speaker, David Ping-yee Lung, has been instrumental in three World Heritage List designations.

Preservation topic of City Club of Eugene discussion April 12

Kingston Heath, director of the Historic Preservation Program at UO, will participate in a panel discussion on the future of historic preservation this Friday, April 12, from 12-1 p.m. during the City Club of Eugene weekly meeting at the Eugene Hilton, 66 East 6th Avenue.

Preservation field school to take place at Whidbey Island

The Pacific Northwest Preservation Field School will return to Puget Sound and Whidbey Island this year, where five sessions will take place during August and September.

David Ping-yee Lung is Lawrence honoree

David Ping-yee Lung is the 2013 recipient of the Ellis F. Lawrence Medal, the highest alumni honor presented by the University of Oregon School of Architecture and Allied Arts.
