Faculty members in the University of Oregon's Department of Architecture fulfill multiple roles as educators, scholars, researchers and design professionals. UO’s architecture faculty and staff have a broad range of backgrounds, scholarly interests, and areas of expertise. They actively pursue work in professional practice, research and service projects, participation in national and international competitions, publications, and presentations of papers at professional meetings. The results of participation in these activities have contributed substantially to the recognition of our program and its teaching personnel.
Faculty members bring substantial achievement in professional practice and research into the classroom setting. The 33 tenure-track professors, four of whom are Distinguished Professors with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA), are complemented by a talented group of adjunct instructors drawn from professional offices in Eugene and Portland.
