Kristin Grieger is an associate teaching professor and career advisor for the College of Design. She earned her Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Oregon and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.

Inspired by the transformative nature of universities, Kristin has worked for more than 25 years in higher education helping students explore, identify, and move towards their chosen career path. Kristin has worked primarily at the University of Oregon in the University Career Center, the College of Business Career Services, and currently since 2012, in the College of Design. She also provided academic and career education at colleges in California and Texas.

Through her work, Kristin helps students to define their story: who they are, what they value, and the strengths they have to offer, and to use this information to prepare for their post-graduation path. She helps students explore possibilities, prepare application materials, and implement searches for internships and jobs. Kristin teaches career development courses, partners with College of Design faculty to deliver career instruction in their classes and meets with students in individual advising sessions.

For the Historic Preservation program, Kristin teaches AAAP 606: Practicum fall term. This course provides preservation students with a structure for understanding the search for summer internships. In this class, students will engage in self-assessment, career exploration, and prepare application materials. Students can also seek individual career advising throughout the year for internship search support.
