Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture & Environment, Ignacio López Busón, added a new award to his list of accolades in May, a 2025 faculty research mentor award from the University of Oregon. The Assistant Professor was nominated by the 2025 Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (LArch) cohort in recognition of his responsive mentorship and insight.

Busón's encouragement and expertise in landscape design technology were additional items of distinction the students were quick to extoll, citing that while he has high standards for his students, he is candid and genuine, creating a sense of community in the discipline.
