BA in Historic Preservation from the University of Mary Washington and an MA and PhD in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware.
Research interests include tobacco culture in St. Mary's County, Maryland. Work experience includes Review and Compliance Specialist and Survey and Registration Coordinator for the Oregon State Historic Preservation Office; currently works as Senior Architectural Historian for URS, a consulting firm in Portland. Author of I’m Goin’ Down Country: An Architectural Journey Through St. Mary’s County, Crownsville, MD (2010). Teaches occasional offerings.
