Three STEM-Designated Degrees
The department of Landscape Architecture has three degrees that are STEM-designated as 04.0601 Landscape Architecture:
- Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA)
- Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA)
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
This STEM-designation and associated Classification of Instructional Program code, or CIP, of 04.0601 allows our international graduates to apply for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s optional practical training (OPT) extension program for F-1 students with STEM degrees. Also, it extends our international students’ OPT period from 1 year to 3 years, thus making it easier for international students to find employment in the U.S.
