Academic Advising is available to all students through the department office and through the Student Services office, and advisors are happy to help.
Each student can access a progress report, known as an advising transcript, on DuckWeb. For a department program degree check, students can contact their advisor. Students should take the time to review both the degree guide and program degree check each year. It is the student's responsibility to review their degree guide and degree audit and track progress toward meeting degree requirements. Students are expected to meet with their assigned academic advisor at least once a year and encouraged to do it more often to ensure that they are on track for a timely graduation.
The general requirements are intended to ensure each student receives an education rich in the liberal arts tradition. Undergraduate students should complete most of the general and group requirements prior to entry into their first LA 439 studio.
