Students who have attended and matriculated to the UO in any term are no longer considered “New UO Students” by UO Admissions. Follow these departmental application instructions for current UO students.
- Application Available: October 1
- Departmental Application Fee: $25 USD
- Application Deadline: October 25
- Application Decision: November 15
If the application deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline is the following business day.
You may apply if you are:
- A current UO undergraduate student
- Have completed or are currently enrolled in ARCH 201 or IARC 204 with a passing grade
- Be actively enrolled in coursework at the University of Oregon at the time of application
The Department of Architecture offers a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree, typically completed in five years. Your individual completion timeline may vary based on previous coursework.

- Applicants are expected to demonstrate:
- Creative ability
- Commitment to the field of architecture
- Strong academic preparation
- Students are strongly encouraged to meet with an academic advisor before applying to discuss potential academic pathways and timelines.
