Professor Emeritus of Architecture, Kevin Nute, was recognized by the University of Hawaiʻi (UH) for his significant contributions to the university. Nute was honored, alongside a group of 2023 UH Mānoa Award winners, at a UH football game on September 23. During the game against New Mexico State, the group came on to the field and received a warm welcome and a round of applause from the fans in attendance.

While Nute was unable to attend the in-person celebration, he was identified alongside his colleagues at the game. Nute was a recipient of the Presidential Citation for Meritorious Teaching, an award for UH faculty members who have made significant contributions to teaching and student learning.
