Congratulations are in order for the Department of Landscape Architecture as Associate Professor Mark Eischeid was awarded a one-month research fellowship by Dumbarton Oaks in Landscape Studies. Eischeid is an Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Oregon where he primarily teaches history classes and design studios and his research focuses on the history and theory of historic landscape architecture. This research fellowship is incredibly competitive and the awards were established to enable greater access to the Dumbarton Oaks resources, library, rare book, and garden for a broader range of scholars. Dumbarton Oaks, overseen by the Trustees for Harvard University, fosters research and scholarship in Byzantine, Garden and Landscape, and Pre-Columbian studies.
